I'm in the middle of getting ready to prepare a huge batch of drawings. Remakes of old ones and entirely new arts to share. There's a very specific reason for this. I'm helping :icontetsuwanatom: on the Wonder Molly project now to save it from development hell. However, I'm more than open to :iconjoaoppereiraus: returning if he so chooses. For the record, yes, the latter is aware of this for a while now as I asked for permission to continue it while he worked on other stuff. I'm both excited and nervous about my participation on this project, but this might be the thing I need to reignite my creative spark, because this inspired me to go back and hone my craft better than ever before. In a few moments, I'll post some characters I help created with him.

I'm fully aware this site is a shell of it's former self now. Even before Eclipse, I felt like this site is going to hell in a handbasket. I still have a Tumblr and I plan to resume uploading my art and I still have Ko-fi page which I'll need to start promoting and uploading more. I'm not bailing just yet as I have unfinished business, but I'll need to find a better place for artwork.

Probably not. XD Yeah, it's been a long time since I wrote one of these, hasn't it? XD

So what have I been doing all of this time? I wanted to focus on practicing my drawing skills and expanding as an artist. That being said, I think I've been pushing myself too hard for the last few months and I was losing my drive, passion and motivation, so I needed to take a break and focus on taking better care of myself. Doing more exercise, catching up on life skills... I basically needed to clear my head and all of that. This may have been for the best, since now I feel more inspired to get back to what I'm doing and I feel my art is improving.

One a non-art related note, I went to the biggest arcade in the USA, the Galloping Ghost arcade. Twice. And it was amazing. Here's their list of games: https://www.gallopingghostarcade.com/games-list/

I plan to visit there a few more times. They're even doing a GoFundMe to expand the place and put more games in there! https://www.gofundme.com/f/galloping-ghost-arcade-expansion-drive?utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all Feel free to ask me anything! :D

As for what's been happening, We got a replacement PC. Not the one I'm gunning for (It's a family PC that has to be shared, the one I'm trying to get is based on Gaming, Streaming and Creating solely for myself), but it's a compromise I'm willing to take. I also have an insane backlog to get through as far as favoriting stuff and reorganizing my favorites, so this will take a few weeks.

I'll post new content when I'm ready and happy with the quality of my work.

Sorry for the delay.  I need to make some last minute adjustments to the first version of my commission sheet, and what I’m planning to do going forward.

I was originally going to try job hunting again for the first time in years, but 1) the current pandemic has put a stop to that, and 2) I’d not go through filing applications just get discouraged more and 3) It’s time I made my own luck for a change.

The original plan was supposed to be me having a huge batch of finished drawings to submit before I was ready to prove I was ready to take commissions, but I ran into several issues. First, the main computer is broke.  The issue is that the motherboard is permanently busted after it fell to the ground.  I can try to find a replacement, but the problem is that it was one of those Hewlett Packard all-in-one computers and their motherboards from what I hear are very expensive ($800 to $900).  I generally use Paint Tool SAI, but last year I put on a dunce cap and wanted a chromebook instead of my own desktop PC.  It’s better than nothing, but I should’ve just got my own desktop computer last year.  Speaking of which, I’m using Medibang paint on that thing.  It’s better than nothing, and I’ve gotten used to the program, but it’s nothing compared to what I was able to do with SAI.

Also, my mom slipped and fell on the ice last year, so most of my time was spent taking care of her for over a year now.  To the point where I barely do any drawing.  She’s actually walking a lot more now, not 100% but she’s nearly there. So I’m trying to get back into the swing of things.

The last reason?  This: https://tinyurl.com/EtheringtonBOOKS

I’ve been meaning to donate to their Kickstarter page for about a year now. I NEED THESE.  I’ve been buying a lot of drawing books and practicing (Whenever I can anyway), and while I’m aware these tutorials are free, having them in a book would be so much better for me to look at.

Oh, and Animal Crossing: New  Horizons.  That didn’t help much either.

I can’t afford to take a break any longer.  I need to get back into doing what I love.  Now enough talk. I need to prepare myself.

For those who aren't reading the article, here's the tl;dr version from Internet Historian:  twitter.com/NetHistorian/statu…

Also, here's a YouTube video below I found on a forum in regards to the $42,000 dollar fines for individual creators and why this would be hard to enforce.  Quote below is the person who found the video.

"tl;dw - there's a very low chance that the FTC would go after small-time creators, and would most likely go after big names like Logan Paul first. And even then they would have to prove in court that he himself is the operator of youtube itself, which as it currently stands would be hard to do. Still possible, still warrants concern but hard to do on the FTC's end.

And as the title says, the entire speech by that FTC dude was saber rattling and trying to get people to panic, which is why I'm not a huge fan of Chadtronic's response to this because he's doing exactly what the FTC wants, even if concern is warranted. Especially since it was implied that content creators and operators were one on the same when the reality isn't that simple."

Below is a recent video finally breaking it down on both Youtube and the FTC.

Donation pool

I have a Paypal for a couple of years.  I originally wanted to use this for commissions, but my skills aren't good enough.  Since I want to start making games of my own and improve my skills, this will be a good compromise for the time being.
